Democrats pushing cancel culture are about to cost a county that overwhelmingly voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 election a massive $100 million.
Officials from Cobb County, the Georgia county that was set to host the 2020 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, said they will lose more than $100 million after the league pulled the game and draft out of the state over new election laws passed in the state and signed into law by the governor.
Holly Quinlan, president and CEO of Cobb Travel and Tourism, said that the “estimated lost economic impact” for the county was more than $100 million.

“This event would have directly impacted our county and the state, as visitors spend their dollars on local accommodations, transportation, entertainment and recreation, food and retail throughout the county,” Cobb County Travel and Tourism said. “This would have been a big boost to Cobb businesses and help with recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.”
WSB-TV reported: “The bureau said the 8,000-plus hotel rooms contracted for the game that will now not be needed will have a negative impact on the county’s hospitality industry, further delaying recovery from the pandemic.”
Georgia GOP Gov. Brian Kemp blamed Joe Biden, far-left activist Stacy Abrams, and other liberals for pressuring the league by pushing a number of false and misleading claims about the state’s new voting law.
“This attack on our state is the direct result of repeated lies from Joe Biden and Stacey Abrams about a bill that expands access to the ballot box and ensures the integrity of our elections,” Kemp said.
“I will not back down. Georgians will not be bullied. We will continue to stand up for secure, accessible, fair elections. Earlier today, I spoke with the leadership of the Atlanta Braves who informed me they do not support the MLB’s decision,” he added.
Kemp continued: “Cancel culture and partisan activists are coming for your business. Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, and Delta may be scared of Stacey Abrams, Joe Biden, and the left, but I am not.”
Several conservatives lashed out on Twitter over the decision.
Good work, Georgia Democrats! You’ve lied hard and loud enough while shrieking “Jim Crow” to harm your own constituents! https://t.co/BeC6b19uEo

Not a smart thing for Dems to do to a state they’re trying to turn Blue https://t.co/MMLxwjQqSZ

Cobb voted for Biden & got celebrated for it. Fast forward five months and this is how he thanks them? The President lies about a bill to push the Democrats’ HR1 agenda & Georgians lose out bc of stupid politics. Every free-thinking individual should be disgusted by this nonsense https://t.co/DdZlROdOJy

Joe Biden and propaganda press told @MLB to impose economic sanctions on Georgia for passing minor legislation to protect election security. (Unclear why they so strongly oppose even modest efforts to limit voter fraud, or why @MLB so eagerly acquiesced to this partisan request) https://t.co/V6iPBBlSI8

The new election laws, in part, would require a photo ID in order to vote by absentee ballot, would limit the number of drop boxes, and replace the elected secretary of state as the chair of the state election board with a new appointee of the legislature after Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger politically went after Donald Trump.
Biden and his allies claim the new election laws are designed to suppress the vote.
“This is Jim Crow in the 21st Century. It must end. We have a moral and constitutional obligation to act. I once again urge Congress to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to make it easier for all eligible Americans to access the ballot box and prevent attacks on the sacred right to vote,” he said.
No one has given a good explanation as to why showing identification proving that you are eligible to vote is akin to “Jim Crow,” but it must sound like a winning plan as Democrats keep making the accusation.

This bill is a huge win for Republicans and those who support protecting elections.
Which is why Democrats are so angry about it.
